Hi, I’m Janae, the hands and heart behind Knot For Everyone. I create hand-stitched, custom pieces that celebrate individuality, style, and care. Whether it’s a one-of-a-kind garment, a perfect alteration, or a bold statement design, I believe what you wear should feel as unique as you are.

Knot For Everyone started with a vision: me, wearing a pair of denim patchwork bellbottoms I couldn’t find in any store. Frustrated with the lack of pieces that matched my evolving style, I decided to make them myself. That decision led me to Burlap Rose in Douglasville, where I learned to sew under the guidance of Rasheeda Hicks. Over about three months and six to nine classes, I developed the skills to bring my vision to life.

Those denim patchwork bellbottoms became my first creation and the spark for my business. Initially, sewing was just a way to design my own wardrobe. But when I wore my pieces out in public, the compliments poured in. People began asking if I could make clothing for them, and I realized this passion could become something bigger.

In August 2020, Knot For Everyone officially launched. What began as a personal project grew into a space where style meets craftsmanship, and every stitch tells a story. Today, I continue to design clothing that feels personal, intentional, and made just for you, because it is.
